The Main Theme written by John Barry for the 1978 martial arts thriller Game of Death. Music Composed and Conducted by JOHN BARRY. His works during that period included King Kong and the ill-fated Game of Death, as, ominously, Bruce Lee died during the shooting. However, the movie was still released, including the short segments of Lee that had already been shot. The main title, a funky slice of kung fu disco, also sounds very much like the James Bond Theme, with its swooping string motif and syncopated brass parts. The Game of Death is a 1972 film starring Bruce Lee. It was almost the film Bruce Lee had planned to be the demonstration piece of his martial art Jeet Kune Do. Over 100 minutes of footage was shot prior to his death, some of which was later misplaced in the Golden Harvest archives. The remaining footage has been released with Bruce Lee's original English and Cantonese dialogue, with John Little dubbing Bruce Lee's Hai Tien character as part of the documentary entitled Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey.
