My Foolish Heart - Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock, Jack DeJohnette. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Up For It is a live album by American pianist Keith Jarrett's Standards Trio featuring Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette recorded at the Jazz à Juan festival in Juan-les-Pins, France, on July 16, 2002 and released by ECM Records in May 2003. Even though the concert was performed after My foolish heart and The Out-of-Towners both recorded in 2001 it was released much before to celebrate the Standards Trio 20th anniversary. It is almost superfluous to write about Keith Jarrett's three-decades-and-running standards trio with Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette. Given their recorded output, it's easy to discern why they are regarded by many as the greatest living piano trio. Bassist Gary Peacock shines on Oliver Nelson's Butch & Butch, whose rapid tempo demands quick responses and places a premium on deliberation. He punches in and out of walking bass lines, regularly rising to the high end to interlock with Jarrett in unpredictable ways. That's the essence of Peacock's contribution, along with a particular sense of rhythm which has an outward regularity but exerts a constant elastic swinging tug. The most dramatic feature of Up For It is DeJohnette's playing, which sets it apart from the rest and rewards attention. Especially on the up-tempo numbers-about half-he just hits it. KEITH JARRETTGARY PEACOCKJACK DEJOHNETTE STANDARDS VOL. 1 The protagonists had already recorded together on Gary Peacocks Tales of Another in 1977. The protagonists had already recorded together on Gary Peacocks Tales of Another in 1977, but Jarretts Standards project, with its dedication to the Great American Songbook, proposed a new sphere of operation, one that would make this trio among the best-loved bands in all of jazz. This New York Power Station recording from January 1983 established the simple blueprint: honour the standards as compositions and discover where the material can lead a creative improviser.
